Wanda (Dickeson) Coudret Coomes, 89, of Evansville, Indiana passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. Wanda was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 30, 1922 and was raised in Browder, Kentucky. She enjoyed keeping a beautiful home and tending her pets. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Mildred Dickeson; her first husband of 35 years, John Coudret; and her daughter, Gwyn Coudret Allender. Holding Wanda in loving memory are her husband of 32 years, Eddie Coomes; her daughter, Jody Coudret Rosenhauer (Pete); her stepchildren Marcia Coomes (Gene Meyer) and Michael Coomes (Lynn); grandchildren David, Steve (Jean), and Jennifer Allender, Christa and Carly Meyer, Megan Coomes, Melanie Eitel (Don), and Michelle Coomes; and great-grandchildren Kenzi, Reece, Luke, Gwyn, and Lila Allender. Also surviving Wanda are her son-in-law, Jerry Allender (Judy); sisters-in-law Helen Coomes, Lucille Nelson, and Margie Garrett; and dear friends Caroline Nellis, Dorothy Becker, Phyllis and Anitra Donahue, and Stephen, Marge, and Tom Libs. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN. A visitation will follow the Mass from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Wanda will be buried at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
