Douglas P. Morefield, 55, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Doug was born on October 9, 1954 to Dorothy (Singer) and Chauncel Morefield. He graduated from Central High School then worked as a fabricator for Sterling Boiler and Mechanical for 24 years. Doug loved spending time with his family, especially taking care of them and providing for them. He was a "jack of all trades", he enjoyed building things, hunting and fishing. Doug was a good hearted, compassionate and funny man, who everyone loved and will truly be missed.

Wife of 33 years, Karen (Biggs) Morefield of Evansville, IN, Daughters, Candy Newton and Crystal Morefield, both of Evansville, IN, Son, Rocky Pribble, Mother, Dorothy Morefield of Panama City, FL, Sister, Dottie Morefield of Panama City, FL, Brother, Jimmy Morefield (Lonnie) of Panama City, FL, Grandchildren, Zack, Cheyenne, Rocky, Leah, Kingston, Autumn, Lydia, Sara, Hannah, Savannah, and Erin, Uncle, Roy Singer (Pat) of Evansville, IN, Best Friend, Randy Deom (Gwen) of Panama City, FL, Nieces and Nephews.
Douglas was preceded in death by his father, Chauncel Morefield, daughter, Brandy Morefield and a granddaughter, Starr Marx.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 12, 2010 at Browning Funeral Home 738 Diamond Avenue with Rev. Dennis Graham and Rabbi Tom Barnes officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Browning Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Trust Fund at Evansville Teacher's Credit Union c/o Leah and Autumn Marx, his granddaughter's he cared for after the passing of his daughter, Brandy.
