Joseph "Vernon" Willett, 84, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at his residence.
Joseph was born May 9, 1925 in Waverly, Kentucky. He was a U.S. Army veteran of both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He retired from DSM, formerly known as Fiberfil in 1981 as a machine operator. Joseph was owner and operator of Someplace Else from 1980-1988. He enjoyed gardening and horseracing. Joseph was a member of St. Benedict Cathedral.

Willett (Alohana) of Evansville, IN, Ralph Willett of Cynthiana, IN, Stephan Willett (Jetti) of Evansville, IN, Kevin Willett of Indianapolis, IN, Patrick Willett (Kathy) of Evansville, IN, Jason Willett (Darlene) of Newburgh, IN, Sisters, Doris Trapp (Bill) of Mt. Carmel, IL, Kathleen Dunkel of Dayton, OH, 17 Grandchildren and Several Great Grandchildren
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Edward and Jane (Perdue) Willett, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2010 at Browning Funeral Home 738 Diamond Ave. with Father Harold Hammerstein officiating. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
