Myrtle D. (Seaton) Bishop, 84, of Owensboro, Kentucky, formerly of Evansville, Indiana passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Owensboro Medical Health Systems.

Myrtle was born in Fordsville, Kentucky on December 13, 1927 to the late Preston and Elizabeth (Thurman) Seaton. She retired from Anchor Industries after many years of service. Myrtle was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and formerly a member of Zoar United Church of Christ in Elberfeld, Indiana. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and crocheting.

Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Wanda Sue Thomas of Evansville, IN; nieces and caregivers, Suzy Bokkon (Brett), Delois Livingston and Doris Morris all of Owensboro, KY; sister-in-law, Dorothy Ashley of Owensboro, KY; brother-in-law, J.C. Bishop of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Bryon Thomas, Nicole Thomas and Michell Bryant and the late Christina Thomas; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E Bishop; son, Robert Earl Jordan; sisters, Leola Daugherty, Dorothy Hook; brothers, Edward Seaton, Curtis Seaton, Dennis Seaton and Preston Seaton Jr.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, Indiana 47711 with Pastor David Pry officiating. Entombment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, July 27, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home and from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday.
