Obituaries

Lester William Pries, 85, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center.

He was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois on March 12, 1927 to the late William Fred and Amanda (Junker) Pries. Lester was baptized on April 17, 1927 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Chicago Heights. He retired from the United States Navy in 1967, where he was Chief Boatswain's Mate. He then moved to Evansville and worked for M&S Fire and Safety. Lester was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Darmstadt.

Lester is survived by:

Sons, Mark Pries (Darlene) of Evansville, IN and Paul Robinson (Pam) of Newburgh, IN.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Anna Mae Pries in 2010, sister, Esther Buchmeier, brothers, Roy and Arnold Pries.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home 738 Diamond Avenue Evansville, IN 47711 with Rev. Stephen Kieser officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.

Friends may visit from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, June 4, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home.
