Name: Edward E. Higgs Dates: Birth date: July 23, 1945 Death date: May 8, 2012 Obituary: Edward E. Higgs, 66, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Deaconess Hospital. Edward was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on July 23, 1945 to Wesley and Beulah (Logsdon) Higgs. Edward was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served in Vietnam and was a member of the VFW Post #1114. Edward is survived by his mother, Beulah (Logsdon) Higgs, sisters, Sheryl Smith (Robert), Beverly Dietz (Harold), and Vickie Buckman (Jeff), all of Evansville, IN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Edward is preceded in death by his father, Wesley Higgs, and brother, Curtis Higgs Sr. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 11, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Rites by Retired Veterans Memorial Club. Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home.
