<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://browningfuneral.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/84_115651.jpg" alt="Frances P. (Korycanek) Hawkins" />Frances P. (Korycanek) Hawkins, 94, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012 at Woodlands Convalescent Center.

Frances was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 26, 1918 to Frank and Frances P. Korycanek.  She moved to Evansville, Indiana in 1945.  She was a member of St. Benedict Cathedral and Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  In 1960 she was employed by the Evansville Water Department and retired with 20 years of service in 1980.  Frances enjoyed sewing, crocheting, golf and bowling.

Frances is survived by:

Son, William Hawkins (Susie Williams)of Bloomington, IN, son-in-law, Donald Erk of Evansville, IN, Grandchildren, Vicki Erk Middleton (Don) of Newburgh, IN, Donald L. Erk, Jr. (Angie) of Evansville, IN, Jeffrey Erk (Lori) of Newburgh, IN, Shelly Hawkins Ooley (Gary) of Martinsville, IN, Kristy Hawkins (fiance Chris Taylor) of Bloomington, IN, Great-Grandchildren, Justin Miles (Dianne), Nicole Miles Boren (Richard) and Megan Miles Miller (Adam), Katelyn Erk, Lauren Erk, Garrett Erk, Maggie Erk Cundiff, Andrew Erk, Erin Ooley and Amber Ooley, Macey White, Declan and Arlie Taylor, 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Anthony (Tony) Korycanek, sister, Jean D. (Korycanek) Cathey, daughter, Patricia Ann (Hawkins) Erk and a great grandson, Alex Erk.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue Evansville, IN with Rev. Tom Hubachek (Heritage Hospice Chaplain).  Entombment will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Friends may visit from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Thursday at Browning Funeral Home.

Virginia was born in Evansville, Indiana on February 11, 1960 to James and Peggy (Green) Krohn.  She graduated from Central High School and worked as a server at Holiday Retirement Village.  Virginia&#039;s laugh was infectious, her smile could light a room, but her heart belonged to her grandchildren.


Virginia is survived by:
Daughter, Linsey Krohn, son, Dale Smith Jr., parents, James and Peggy Krohn, sisters, Kim Chalos all of Evansvillle, IN and Darlene Nicholson of Sarasota, FL, Grandchildren, Courtney Tinsley and Cameron Krohn.



Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home 738 Diamond Avenue with Pastor Brett Nicholson  officiating.  Burial will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home and from 11:00 am until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://browningfuneral.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/84_115482.jpg" alt="Joseph W. Bradley Sr." />Joseph W. Bradley Sr., 90, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012 at VNA Charlier Hospice.

Joseph was born in Evansville, Indiana on November 17, 1921 to the late Joseph and Rachel (Marshall) Bradley.  

Most of Joe&#039;s adult life was devoted to helping working men &amp; women.  He proudly accepted his 65 year pin last year from Boilermaker&#039;s International.  Joe retired as the Business Agent for Boilermaker&#039;s Union L-374; he served for many years as a member of the Executive Board as a Vice-President of the Indiana AFL-CIO.  He was a member of St. Mark&#039;s Lutheran Church, member of Masonic Lodge #496 Branchville, Indiana, Order of Eastern Star Chapter #272, Tell City, Indiana, and a member of Swords of Bunker Hill.  Joe was a light heavy-weight Golden Gloves boxing champion, and also trained many boxers in this area.  He and Millie were life-time fans and supporters of Ellis Park.  Joe was also a harmonica extraordinaire, sharing his talents with many to get a little smile that he so loved.

Joe is survived by his wife, Mildred L. (Chenault) Bradley of Evansville, IN; daughter, Judy Barnes of Lutz, FL; son, Joseph W. Bradley Jr. (Teela) of Cummings, GA; daughters, Brenda Bradley Merle (Daryl) of Land O&#039;Lakes, FL; Karen Dayvolt (Larry) of Indianapolis, IN; Joni Hollis (Denny) of Evansville, IN; sister, Earline Drum (Jerry) of Cohocton, NY; 17 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 2 great- great grandchildren on the way and several nieces and nephews.

Joe is preceded in death by his first wife, Inez; a daughter, Peggy Wilke and 10 siblings. 

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., with Pastor Jarmon Perkins officiating.  Burial will be held at Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, February 20, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, where a Masonic service will be held at 7:00 PM.
Friends may also visit from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday.

Maria was born in Maderas, Chihuhua, Mexico, on September 18, 1935 to the late Enricke and Herlinda (Quesada) Orozco.
Maria was an active member of  Nativity Catholic Church where she was instrumental in starting the Spanish Mass.  She also enjoyed being a volunteer at Little Sisters of the Poor. Maria was a loving person who could brighten anyone&#039;s day. She will be deeply missed.              

Maria is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles J. Carey of Evansville, IN; son, Jonathon Carey of Evansville, IN; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her dear friend, Stephanie Ward of Evansville, IN.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lia Childs; sister, Trini; brother, Enricke; and her grandchild, Jackie.

Graveside services will be held  at 11:00 AM Saturday February 25, 2012 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Evansville with Father Henry Kuykendall officiating.

He was a 1962 graduate of Memorial High School and worked as an electrician for both Whirlpool and Mel-Kay Electric. He attended Nativity Catholic Church. Stephen was very involved with his sons&#039; BMX Racing and enjoyed fishing with his family.

Stephen is survived by his sons, Mike Ellison (Natalie) of Newburgh, IN and Steve &quot;Chop&quot; Ellison Jr. of Evansville, IN; his mother, Ruth (Birchler) Ellison of Evansville, IN; one brother, Joe V. Ellison Sr. (Agnes) of Evansville, IN; four grandchildren, Steffany Ellison (Kyle Helsley), Austin Ellison, Haley Beckner and Drake Beckner; one great-grandson, Brayden Michael Helsley, several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Stephen is preceded in death by his father, Joseph T. Ellison.

David was born on September 28, 1949 to Martha (Gill) and John Russell.  He graduated from Reitz High School in 1967 and attended the University of Evansville. David was the owner of Magic Hat Chimney Sweeps.  He was an Army Reserve Veteran, attended Christian Fellowship Church and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.

David is survived by:

Daughter, Stefanie Swallows (Bob) of Evansville, IN, mother, Martha Russell of Evansville, IN, sister, Brenda Williams (Gary), brother, Gary Russell (Barbara), Grandchildren, Morgan, Madeline and Molly Swallows.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Russell.

Private graveside services will be held, there will be no services at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue Evansville, IN 47711.

Beverly was born in Evansville, Indiana on January 7, 1945 to Herbert John and Mary (Deoring) Geuss.  She had worked all her life taking care of others as a CNA, adult sitter and housekeeper.  Beverly loved spending time with her grandchildren.  

Beverly is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Harms of Evansville, IN; Beth Ann (Terry) Hamrick of Evansville, IN and Diana (Barry) Smith of Evansville, IN; one son, Daniel Harms of Evansville, IN, two brothers, Henry (June) Geuss of St. Joe, IN, and Kenneth (Mary Jane) Geuss of Princeton, IN; eleven grandchildren, Heather Dixon, Eric (Brooke) Mullen, Tabitha Mullen, Chelsey and Cameron Parker, Emma Hamrick, Kyle and Brittney Smith, Ashlynn, Caden and Ethan Harms; six great-grandchildren, Donovan, Elijah, Kalissa, Kyle Jr., Jacqueline, and Owen. 

Beverly is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Clifford E. Ballard; her parents; three brothers, John Geuss, Donald Geuss, and Richard Geuss.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dorothy was born in Greenville, Kentucky on March 23, 1928 to the late Floyd Madison and Georgie (Steele) Garrett. She graduated from Lockyear Business College and went on to work and retire from Old National Bank after 45 years of service. Dorothy was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She found much joy in serving at the church in her many responsibilities. Dorothy especially enjoyed working in the church library and doing genealogy work. 

Dorothy is survived by her two sisters, Fran Evans and Virginia Corley, both of Evansville, IN; five nieces and nephews; sixteen great nieces and great nephews; and her brother-in-law, Bill Montana.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary J. Montana; one niece; and one nephew.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. with Bishop Danial Patrick officiating. Burial will  follow at Oak Hill City Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the funeral home and again from 9:30 AM until service time on Wednesday.
